Terms of Service
This is a plain-language draft that reflects how SceneCheck works today. The final, legally reviewed version is being prepared with counsel before launch. Where this draft and the final version differ, the final version will govern from its stated effective date once it is published.
This draft summarizes the agreement between you and SceneCheck in plain language: who can use it, what it is and is not, and what we each expect.
Who can use SceneCheck
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction, and at least 18. SceneCheck is an adult community trust tool for kink and play spaces.
What SceneCheck is, and is not
SceneCheck helps people vet each other through peer feedback. A score is based on that feedback. It is not a safety guarantee, a background check, or a substitute for your own judgment. Information a person declares about themselves is self-declared and is not verified by SceneCheck.
Your account
Your identity is tied to a phone number that is verified once and then kept only as an irreversible hash. You are responsible for the activity on your account. Do not share access to it.
Using it in good faith
Give feedback honestly. Do not use SceneCheck to harass, retaliate against, expose, or coerce anyone. Do not attempt to identify anonymous reviewers or to work around the protections described in the Privacy Policy.
Feedback and scores
Feedback is anonymous and cannot be traced back to its author. Safety reports may be kept for accountability even after other data expires. Abusing the feedback system can result in removal from SceneCheck.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, and the deletion is permanent. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
No guarantee of safety
SceneCheck is provided as is. It is a tool to inform your decisions, not a promise that any person or encounter is safe. Always prioritize your own safety and consent.
